The sound of church bells is an essential and iconic part of our soundscape.<\/em>
\nOverlying the traffic noise and the song of birds, when you hear the bells,
\nyou know you must be in England!<\/em><\/p>\n

Can you help to save Kildwick’s bells?<\/h1>\n

We are running a project to refurbish Kildwick’s fine ring of bells to make them fit to ring out for a second century.\u00a0 These bells could carry your name into the 22nd century!\u00a0 (though I shan’t be around to check…)

Sponsorship<\/h2>\n

A major part of our appeal is to find sponsors.\u00a0 A sponsor is someone who has contributed \u00a360.00 or more and who would like to be involved with our project.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

If you choose to sponsor a particular element of the project, we’ll\u00a0record your name in a register to be kept in the tower.<\/p>\n

To say “thank you” to our sponsors, we will be ringing a special “touch” (a defined piece of ringing) which will be recorded on a certificate for you to keep.\u00a0 The more special touches (yes, for the bigger donations!!) will also be recorded in the national register of ringing performances at bb.ringingworld.co.uk<\/a>.
\nWe can’t promise when<\/strong> we’ll be able to do this – you may need to wait a while!<\/small><\/em><\/p>\n
